About Service Metadata Publisher (SMP)
A SMP is a core component in the Peppol network. It publishes the service metadata needed to determine how documents should be routed to a participant, including supported document types, capabilities, and endpoint information. In Singapore, IMDA is the Peppol Authority overseeing the national SMP that supports InvoiceNow. DEX, as the appointed solution provider, builds and operates the SMP platform powering the network.

Onboarding flows integrated with plugin option for national digital identity platforms (e,g, Corppass), Singapore's corporate digital identity system, ensure only verified businesses can be registered on the network. While it was built on Corppass for Singapore, the same integration model can be configured for other national digital identity platforms so onboarding stays locally relevant wherever the platform is deployed.
Tax Compliance Activation Workflows
Support jurisdiction-specific tax compliance activation workflows within the SMP, such as GST InvoiceNow (C5) activation in Singapore, where businesses authorise their Access Point to submit e-invoices on their behalf to the tax authority, verified through a government digital identity signing process.
